I know you've all been waiting with baited breath for my end-of-the year favorite albums list. Both of you. And just why you've been sitting there munching away on worms while waiting, I'll never understand. (Get it? Baited? Worms? Bwah-ha-ha... oh, nevermind)

  • By A Thread - Gov't Mule
  • Wilco (The Album) - Wilco
  • Together Through Life - Bob Dylan
  • Electric Dirt - Levon Helm (Yeah, I know. I'm shocked, too)
  • No Line on the Horizon - U2
And, for fun, my favorite compilations, anthologies, and reissues, in particular order:

  1. THE BEATLES!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING!!!!!! MONO & STEREO!!!!! (eat that, bitch!)
  2. Live Anthology - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

  10. You Never Can Tell - The Complete Chess Recordings 1960-1966 - Chuck Berry
And, lastly, a few things I will never, ever, ever listen to again, I promise... unless I forget how bad they are:

  • Get Lucky - Mark Knopfler

  • Sgt Pepper Live - Cheap Trick
  • Christmas In The Heart - Bob Dylan
Everything else falls somewhere betwixt all these lists. (Even Los Lobos Goes Disney)

Crisis Tapes

One of my favorite podcasts just started a series they call the "Crisis Tapes." It's an issue by issue in depth look at the 80's DC Comics event Crisis on Infinite Earths. One of the hosts actually wrote his College Thesis on that series, so they should have plenty to talk about.

They claim that they'll release new episodes monthly. That's not fast enough. They should do daily episodes until they get it all covered. Pussies.
